Each Elibrary story contains related activities. Word builder/dictionary-based activities(Activity 1) improve the vocabulary and enhance language skills of readers while story-based contextual activities help the teacher to assess the comprehension skills of the student. To make it interesting, the activities are created in different formats. Some of these formats are explained below :

1. TRUE OR FALSE

The student has to select any one option-True or False. This format is generally used for contextual questions.

2. MULTIPLE CHOICE

Here the student is given 3-4 choices, and from those he has to choose the correct option. There is only one correct answer.

3. MULTIPLE RESPONSE

The format for this question is similar to the one above, the only exception being that there is more than one correct answer here.

4.MATCHING

In this type of activity, the words/phrases are provided in two columns. The student has to match the options that go together. This format is mostly used for dictionary-based activities.

5.SEQUENCE

A list of events from the story are provided in random order and the student has arrange the events chronologically.

6.FILL IN THE BLANKS

This is just like the fill in the blanks activity provided in textbooks. Here the student has to choose one correct option(from the two given) from the dropdown list on the screen.

7.WORD BANK

This activity is similar to Fill in the Blanks above. The only difference here is that a variety of options are given in a ‘word bank’ below the question. The student has to select the correct answer, drag it from its place and drop it into the correct blank above. Each question has only one correct answer here.
