India's most complete school space program — Hardware, DIY Kits, Curriculum, Software, Books and full-time dedicated Teachers — for students from Grade 3 to Grade 10. Build rockets. Study stars. Win national competitions.
The only school program in India that combines real hardware, hands-on kits, dedicated teachers and national competitions into one complete annual journey for every grade.
Students learn how space scientists think and work. Observation, hypothesis, experimentation and documentation are built into every session, giving students genuine research methodology from Grade 3 onwards.
Space science is cross-disciplinary — combining physics, mathematics, chemistry and geography. This builds a deeper, more connected understanding of science than any single-subject approach can achieve.
With 24 structured sessions and 6 hands-on DIY kits per grade, every concept is immediately tested in practice. Students build, measure, observe and conclude — turning abstract science into lived experience.
Mid-term and end-term assessments require students to design, build and present their own space projects — building confidence in public presentation and structured scientific argument.
Every kit is a physical, buildable model of real space technology — from India's own ISRO missions to international space programs. Students build with their hands and understand with their minds.
India's heavy-lift launch vehicle — students build a scale model and learn rocket propulsion, staging and orbital mechanics
Grade 3+Life-support engineering behind a spacesuit — pressure, temperature, oxygen and radiation protection
Grade 3+India's Chandrayaan-3 moon rover as a buildable DIY kit — mechanisms, sensors and lunar terrain navigation
Grade 4–5Students assemble and use a functional Dobsonian reflector telescope for actual stargazing and planetary observation
Grade 4–5Understanding Earth's rotation, solar angles and the history of measuring time through ancient astronomical timekeeping
Grade 3+Calculates and demonstrates weight under different planetary gravities — making gravitational physics tangible
Grade 6–8Aerodynamics and lift principles through a precision glider build — linking aviation science to space travel
Grade 3+India's Small Satellite Launch Vehicle — commercial rocketry and the future of low-cost space access
Grade 6–8Build a miniaturised satellite — the technology behind India's student-built satellites and the commercial space revolution
Grade 9–10Advanced telescope with equatorial tracking mount — precise observation of deep-sky objects and planetary surfaces
Grade 9–10Internal anatomy of a rocket — propellant systems, guidance, payload fairing and combustion chambers as a cross-section model
Grade 6–8India's geostationary communication satellites — signal relay, transponders and how satellites power TV, internet and GPS
Grade 9–10Each grade receives 6 DIY kits annually — 4 Classroom Kits used during regular sessions and 2 Workshop Kits for deeper, project-based builds (Grade 9–10 receives 3 Workshop Kits). All kits are packaged, labelled and ready to use from the first session — no additional materials needed.
Each grade level is a distinct progression — more complex concepts, more advanced kits, and a higher scientist level. Students graduate and are promoted to the next level automatically.

Whether you want kits-only, an existing setup upgrade, or a fully new dedicated lab — Edugenius has a clear proposal for each path.
Your school provides the infrastructure. Edugenius delivers the kits, curriculum, software and teacher training. Fastest path to get started.
Use your existing infrastructure. Edugenius adds a full-time dedicated space science teacher stationed at your school — the most cost-effective upgrade.
Edugenius designs and delivers a brand-new, fully equipped Space & Astronomy Lab — hardware, furniture, kits, software and a dedicated teacher from Day 1.
The Edugenius Space & Astronomy Lab is not a science class add-on. It is a structured, proven program built from the ground up for Indian school students.
Every concept is taught through doing — building, observing and experimenting. Not a single session is purely lecture-based. Students learn space science the way scientists learn it.
From building a Pragyan rover to assembling a working telescope to launching a model GSLV rocket — every session has a physical activity that makes concepts impossible to forget.
Edugenius provides full-time dedicated space science teachers — specialists in astronomy education, not repurposed general science teachers. They run every session and manage every kit.
Schools with the Edugenius Space Lab regularly place students in national and international competitions. The structured progression from Young Scientist to Senior Scientist builds real competitive capability over years.
No other school EdTech provider offers this combination: real hardware kits modelled on ISRO missions, dedicated full-time teachers, structured multi-year progression and national competition access — all in one.
Every grade comes with access to national and international space competitions — giving students a real goal, a real audience and a real chance at recognition.
Students from Grade 3 upwards participate in national-level space science competitions — from model rocket building to planetary science quizzes and space mission design challenges.
Top-performing students are guided toward international astronomy Olympiads and space agency competitions — India's student space community on a global stage.
Senior Scientist students have access to internship opportunities and industrial visits at aerospace and science institutions — real-world exposure to space careers beyond school.
Structured twice-yearly assessments with project presentations build the habit of scientific communication. Students present their space projects before teachers, peers and external judges.
Answers to the most common questions from principals and STEM leads.
Not necessarily. Proposals 1 and 2 are designed to work within your existing infrastructure — a regular classroom or computer lab can host sessions. For Proposal 3, Edugenius sets up a fully dedicated Space & Astronomy Lab room with custom furniture, storage and décor. Schools that want a visible, impressive lab space opt for Proposal 3; schools that want to start quickly choose Proposal 1 or 2.
Edugenius provides full-time dedicated space science teachers who are stationed at your school and run every session. In Proposal 1, training is provided to existing school teachers. In Proposals 2 and 3, a full-time Edugenius educator joins your school — so your own science teachers are not burdened with additional preparation. The dedicated teacher manages all kits, assessments, competition registrations and project guidance.
Yes. All DIY kits are designed for school use and are age-appropriate for the grade they are assigned to. Kits are pre-packaged with all materials, instructions and safety guidance. The dedicated Edugenius teacher supervises every build session. There are no hazardous chemicals, sharp tools or electrical components beyond age-appropriate school science standards.
After Grade 10 (Senior Scientist Level 1), students are promoted to Senior Scientist Level 2, which opens access to internship opportunities and industrial visits to aerospace institutions. The program is built to grow with students throughout their school years, creating a cohort of genuinely skilled young space scientists by Grade 12.
Every grade from Grade 3 is eligible for national and international space competitions. The Edugenius teacher guides competition preparation as part of the regular program. Competition registration, preparation materials and mentorship are included. Top students are recognised at national events and may represent India at international competitions.
Yes. While the Space Lab is a beyond-curriculum enrichment program, every topic directly reinforces CBSE, ICSE and State Board science concepts. Rocketry reinforces physics of motion. Telescopes reinforce optics. Planetary science reinforces geography. Teachers consistently report improved science performance in board exams among Space Lab students.
ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission and the Pragyan rover landing ignited a generation of young Indians with curiosity about space. The Edugenius Space & Astronomy Lab channels this momentum into structured, lasting learning.
India has a critical shortage of space scientists and aerospace engineers. The pipeline begins in schools — and almost no Indian school currently offers a structured, multi-year space science program. The Edugenius Space Lab changes this by giving students from Grade 3 a continuous eight-year journey, with real hardware, real teachers and real competition exposure.
Schools in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai and across India's Tier-2 cities have implemented the Space Lab. Principals report a consistent pattern: students who were disengaged in standard science class become the most excited participants. A child who builds a GSLV rocket model themselves is a child who remembers physics forever.
With three flexible implementation proposals, every school can find a model that fits their budget, infrastructure and ambition.
